In its latest round of giving, Panasonic donated 2,202 solar lanterns to 8 NPOs in Cambodia at a ceremony held at the Continental Hotel raising the total number of donations to the Southeast Asian nation to over 13,000. This year marks the final year of the “100 Thousand Solar Lantern Project”project. To date, over 84,000 lanterns have been donated in 22 countries since its debut in 2012.

Panasonic Appliances Refrigeration Devices Singapore (PAPRDSG) signs a new 25-year leasing agreement with Sunseap, the country’s largest clean energy provider, on a 2.4 megawatts (MW) photovoltaic (PV) system at the factory. This brings the factory’s total solar capacity to 2.8 MW. At its peak, the factory’s PV system is expected to power, on average, 10% of its entire operations.
