UNESCO and Panasonic Launch Educational Support Programs for the Next Generation in Off-Grid Communities in Myanmar

UNESCO and Panasonic Corporation signed a project agreement for Myanmar in November 2015 to promote educational support aimed at sustainable development for the next generation of young people living in the vicinity of the Ancient City of Bagan in Myanmar, which is currently a nominee for UNESCO World Heritage listing.

Panasonic Appliances Refrigeration Devices Singapore (PAPRDSG) signs a new 25-year leasing agreement with Sunseap, the country’s largest clean energy provider, on a 2.4 megawatts (MW) photovoltaic (PV) system at the factory. This brings the factory’s total solar capacity to 2.8 MW. At its peak, the factory’s PV system is expected to power, on average, 10% of its entire operations.

Announcement of Panasonic Kid Witness News (KWN) 2015 Global Contest winners on 26 August in Singapore. The Grand Prix went to Montfort College of Thailand and other finalists from China, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore were recognised with category awards. Team from Clementi Town Secondary School of Singapore clinched the "Creative Media” award with its production “Social ME-dia”.
